Rohtak Zoo, officially known as Tilyar Mini Zoo, is a zoological park located within the Tilyar Lake complex on Delhi Road in Rohtak, Haryana, India. The zoo was established in 1987, and it is situated approximately 42 kilometers from the Delhi border.

Development and Facilities

In 2001, the Government of Haryana made a decision to close down several smaller mini zoos across the state and replace them with more developed and viable zoo facilities. This initiative included the establishment of the zoo at Rohtak within the Tilyar Lake complex. Following this decision, enclosures for animals and aviaries for birds were constructed. The development also included significant enhancements for visitors, such as landscaping, walkways, gardens, artificial waterfalls, a cafe, restrooms, resting shelters, watchtowers, and drinking water facilities.
